My vision for the future of Vermont’s public education system is one where every child has access to a well-resourced school, with a fairly compensated and supported educator in front of them, and where community trust is at the center of every decision we make. That means honoring the relationship between the state, our communities, and the educators who show up every single day for our children.

Put simply, now is not the time to double down on reductions in school personnel, facilities, and the services they provide. Rather, now is the time to make strategic investments in Vermont public education. We need to rebuild our schools’ physical infrastructure to be safe, modern, and accessible, in locations that make sense for 2026 Vermont.
