*** TENTATIVE AGREEMENT REACHED ***

Hello fellow teachers,
We are very happy to tell you we have a tentative agreement for a four-year contract that covers the teachers of Barre City, Spaulding, Barre Technical Center and Barre Town.
First, our success has a lot to do with your overwhelming support. The boards knew full well that the teachers of Barre were determined to get a fair negotiated settlement.
These are the details we can share with you now:
- Next Wednesday (March 28) at 3:45 in Room 200 we will give you all the details we have. Because merging the salary schedules is so complicated, we may not be able to describe every single person’s salary adjustments, but we will be close.
- Each association will vote separately on the proposed contract. If an association ratifies, then it will become the contract for that association. If an association rejects the tentative agreement, then that association will return to the table. The same goes for the respective boards.
- The fact-finder’s report will not become public because we reached an agreement before the waiting period ended.
