Vermont-NEA Sponsors Eight Retirement Seminars in 2011
(Open to members only. Recommended for ALL ages.)
Retiring with security is something we all deserve. But putting together the pieces of a sound retirement plan isn’t easy. We know from experience that planning for retirement, and as early as possible, paves the way for a more economically secure future. Vermont-NEA wants to help you to plan wisely for your retirement years.
Your Association is sponsoring eight retirement seminars between October 4 and November 29 forr members (and their spouses/partners) ONLY. Each seminar will provide a comprehensive overview of the major components of a smart retirement “roadmap.” Here, in brief, are the topics that will be covered:
* Overview of the Vermont State Teachers’ Retirement System: Pensions and Health Benefits
* Introduction to Medicare
* Long-Term Care Insurance
* Personal Investments & Financial Planning
* NEA-Member Benefits for Retirees
Each seminar will run from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m., with light refreshments provided. This seminar is relevant to all members, no matter how old or close to retiring. Here is a list of the seminars:

The seminars are limited to 30 participants each, so don’t delay in registering.
